Shelby County Juvenile Court Liaison
IMPACT (Imagine Making Positive Accountable Changes Together)
Available in Shelby County, IMPACT is a program developed to proactively identify children who are facing obstacles towards academic, social, and community success. This preventative program allows families to receive supportive services and resources in the areas of individual and family counseling, case management and psychiatric services to meet the needs of each unique child and family situation. Children in Pre-K through 12th grade who attend school or reside in Shelby County are eligible for the program.
IMPACT is a cooperative effort of the Shelby County Juvenile Court, the Shelby County United Way, and Shelby County school systems. Referrals are made by a school teacher, guidance counselor, principal or through contact with the director of the program. After a referral, families will meet with the IMPACT program coordinator, Amy Simindinger, to discuss the program and the specific needs to be addressed. Once families are accepted into the program, the referral is sent to Family Resource Center of Northwest Ohio.
